Post Foundation Courses

These courses are topic-specific and the advertisements for such courses will outline the topic, aims, and objectives. The length of post foundation courses is determined by the course leader but is usually between 5 – 10 contact days. Examples of topics are:

  • Early assessment and intervention: A two week course run by all three disciplines addressing the 0-12 month age group
  • Refresher Course: A course aimed at therapists who want to update their theoretical knowledge including current theories of motor control and the systems approach in analysing and treating children with cerebral palsy

Aim

To provide new and in-depth knowledge of the specific topic.

Certification

Full attendance is required

An attendance certificate and CPD points are issued by SANDTA

Who are these courses for?

These courses are open to therapists who have successfully completed the  NDT Foundation Paediatric Course. It is recommended, but not a prerequisite that at least one year has elapsed since completion of the NDT Foundation Paediatric Course.
