DESCRIPTION:Based on the Bobath Concept\n\n(The course was previously called Basic Paediatric NDT Course)\n\nThis multidisciplinary post-graduate course covers the assessment and treatment of children with cerebral palsy / cerebral motor disturbances.\n\nIt is presented under the auspices of the South African Neurodevelopmental Therapy Association\n\n<strong>Course structure and dates of the 3 blocks that make up the course </strong>\n\n<strong>Block 1: Online self-study modules:</strong>\n<div>\n<div><b>September to November <i><u>2023 </u></i></b> (The course material on Neuroscience, Typical Child Development, Classification of CP, and the Bobath Concept will be available online over this 3-month period for participants to study in their own time. This will be interspersed with some evening live Zoom tutorials where certain aspects can be clarified) <strong><em>No leave from work required for this section.</em></strong></div>\n</div>\n<strong>Block 2: Live Zoom classrooms: </strong>This block consists of different modules spread over different dates and will be in the form of virtual Zoom classrooms. It will cover movement analysis, a problem-solving approach to the treatment and management of individuals with CP, as well as relevant aspects of occupational therapy and speech therapy. These live online classes will be in the form of lectures, video recordings and group discussions) Note the different dates:\n<div><b>1 – 3 Dec<u> <i>2023</i>  </u></b>(3 days), <b>8 – 10 Dec 2023 </b>(3 days), <b>15 – 17 Dec 2023 </b>(3 days) from 8am – 4 pm (South Africa Time Zone GMT+2)</div>\n<div><i><u>Leave from work <b>will be required</b> for the dates above.</u></i></div>\n<strong>Block 3: Practical / clinical modules: (on site)</strong>\n<div><b>24 – 28 Jan 2024, 31 Jan – 4 Feb 2024, 28 Feb to 3 March 2024 </b>8am – 4 pm (UAE time zone GMT+4) (participants will be taught and practice handling and management and will do supervised clinical sessions assessing and treating children with cerebral palsy.</div>\n<p style="font-weight: 400;">This practical face-to-face block will take place in <b>Dubai UAE </b>and venue will be confirmed</p>\n<em style="font-weight: 400;"><u>Leave from work required for these 3 weeks.</u></em>
